Day 5

In order to relieve myself of the guilt of eating a lot of junk food yesterday, today I tried to pay for it by going to a restaurant called Sweet Tomatoes. Sweet Tomatoes is a healthy dining all-you-can-eat restaurant located near the Lawrence Expressway next to Costco. They provide many kinds of salad, soup, pasta, and sweet breads.
What I notice about this kind of western food is that after I finish eating, I do not feel really full. The feeling is totally different when I eat Asian food that usually contains rice or noodle, which is totally full or loaded. I guess it's all because I'm missing the carbohydrate.
For dinner me and my friends went to Bucca di Beppo, an authentic Italian restaurant, which is famous for its pizza and pasta.
Italian Supremo Pizza, which is pizza with marinara sauce, ground beef, sausages, and cheese

Linguini Frutti de Marre, which is pasta with tomato sauce and seafood
Spicy Chicken Penne, which is pasta with spicy cream sauce, green beens, and chicken

It is good to know that my friends supported me during this experiment by agreeing to eat western food when they eat with me. I think this will also encourage them to get used to the western life style, which is a good thing. So far, I cannot find any similarities between Asian main course food and Western ones because I think they both use different ingredients and different style of cooking. Asian food uses a a lot of soy sauce, garlic, and spices, whereas Western food uses a lot of cheese. So far the experiment is still going well and I am hoping that this experiment will answer all of my questions about this project.
