Today was my first day of experiment. I was very excited in conducting this experiment because I get to try different types of food. The day before, I went to Whole Foods and Safeway to stock up some Western food in my refrigerator. I bought Fruit Loops, 1 % reduced fat milk, blueberry and mocha yogurt, bacon, Ben n Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Organic French Fries, Spinach Ravioli, Fusilli, Tomato Sauce, some organic ground beef, 1 pound of chicken wings, and one box of raspberry. This really showed my spirit for this project.
This morning I ate fruit loops with cereal. It’s really good, I liked it. I usually just eat mantao, a chinese sweet bun for breakfast, but I think fruit loops will be my favorite breakfast during this experiment. Maybe it is because both of them taste kind of sweet. I think western style breakfast is kind of similar with some of the Asian breakfast because they both serve sweet tasting food. For lunch, my friends and I went to Hooters, which is one of the most famous chicken wings restaurant in America. During the last football season, survey showed that there were approximately 63,000 people who visited the restaurant. We ordered 20 pieces of chicken wings, garlic fries, 8 pieces of boneless chicken wings, Philly Cheese Sandwich, and Hooters Cheese Curly Fries. For 3 Asian girls, we really had good appetites. I was very full so I did not have dinner that day. I did not touch any Asian food today. The first day of the experiment was successful!
Here's a picture taken at Hooters.
